Glory of CIMIE 2006

  Sisen Cenco- 2006 China International meat Conference was held in Hotel Nikko New Century Beijing on 24th July, 2006.There are a few government officials who made great presentations at the conference. Such as Mr. Jiang Zengwei Deputy Minister of Ministry of Commerce, Ms. Hui Lusheng Deputy Director General of State Food and Drug Administration, Mr. Patrick Moore President of International Meat Secretariat, Mr. Laurence Wrixon Secretary General of International Meat Secretariat. Nearly 700 participants from more than 30 countries of the world discussed and communicated on Brand Development Strategy of Meat Industry. Charged sector of the government provided with guidance suggestions on brand innovation and development for Chinese meat industry. International Meat Secretariat analyzed meat brand building successful experience of developed countries and shared it with attendees at the conference. At the same time, delegates of well-known enterprises made wonderful presentations. International Meat Secretariat awarded IMS Membership certificates to some Chinese meat companies. China Meat Association made an announcement of the influential brand in Chinese Meat Industry from 2005-2006 and awarded to enterprises making special contribution to Chinese meat industry. The conference has been a vane of brand development in Chinese meat industry and point out direction for the road to brand of Chinese meat industry.

  The Fourth China International Meat Industry Exhibition and Shineway-The First Meat Foodstuff Culture Festival inaugurated in Beijing Exhibition Center on 25th July, 2006.This event were organized by International Meat Secretariat and China Meat Association. Sun Fuling, former vice president of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Hui Lusheng, Deputy Director General of State Food and Drug Administration, Mr. Patrick Moore, President of International Meat Secretariat, Mr. Laurence Wrixon, Secretary General of International Meat Secretariat, Mr.Li Shuilong, president of China Meat Association, governmental officials and delegates in meat sector took part in the opening ceremony. Mr. Deng Fujiang, standing vice president of China Meat Association hosted the opening ceremony. Sun Fuling vice president of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference undraped for the opening ceremony.               

  As the largest, the most specialized and the most comprehensive international meat exhibition, this event got great support from Meat & Livestock Australia, Bord Bia Irish Food Board, and U.S Meat Export Federation.  The exhibit area is up to 30,000 ㎡. There are nearly 600 exhibitors who are from more than 30 countries of the world. Such as China, America, Britain, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Sweden, Denmark, Swiss, New Zealand, Malta, Netherland, Japan, India, Korea and so on. Exhibits include meat foodstuff processing, meat processing and slaughtering machinery, additives and ingredients, meat packaging materials and meat processing technology. Exhibit content includes the comprehensive industry chain. Seminars and new technology introductions provided enterprises and clients with great opportunity to learn and communicate.

  Nearly 60,000 specialized visitors and purchasers from home and abroad came to visit and negotiate business during these three days. The exhibition enhanced communication and cooperation between Chinese and international meat companies, promoted development of Chinese meat industry, displayed great images of Chinese meat companies, and showed products and services. This event is a bridge for companies to access success.

  Shineway - the First China Meat Foodstuff Culture Festival held during the exhibition is one highlight of this activity. You could look back development history of Chinese meat culture, discern current development condition of Chinese meat industry, and enjoy the joyfulness of rapid development of Chinese meat industry. More than 20 drawers and calligraphers drew and handwrote for exhibitors and visitors on the spot. It brought great cultural atmosphere for the exhibition.
  It is brief for “two conferences and one festival”, but all attendees did get a lot and they will have happy memories of this great activity. Mr. Patrick Moore highly appreciated “two conferences and one festival”. He commented. “China is the largest meat producer in the world and it bodes very well for the future, the China International Meat Conference , the China International Meat Industry Exhibition and China Meat Foodstuff Culture Festival were a great success and the IMS is pleased support these events”.

  Keeping success of 2006 and prospecting wonderful 2007. We look forward to great events coming. That is next “two conferences and one festival”. The Fourth IMS World Pork Congress, The Fifth China International Meat Industry Exhibition and The Second China Meat Foodstuff Festival will take place in Nanjing International Exhibition Center on 14-19 Sep, 2007.
